This Regency style hotel was built in 1802 and is set in five acres of grounds overlooking the breathtaking Derwent Gorge and is a great place to have conferences and meetings. The hotel boasts an outdoor pool (open May to September) and an indoor heated plunge pool, both fed by natural springs.

Situated in the heart of "Peak Practice" country and well located for visits to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Alton Towers and Sheffield"s Meadow Hall Shopping Centre. The old mining area has become a tourist attraction and the Heights of Abraham is popular for a cable car that runs high above the town to Victoria Tower and the mining shafts.

The 55 en-suite bedrooms each have their own hairdryer, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities. Feature rooms are also available on request.

Matlock Bath became famous in regency times when people travelled from all over the country to sample the areas natural spring waters. Nestling in the beautiful Derwent Gorge, the hotel today retains its original character but now also provides exceptional business facilities.
