The River Bar & Grill opened in August 2006 in the Historic Old Haymarket building, on the corner of Haymarket Street and Victoria Street adjacent to the Birkenhead tunnel. It is a continental style operation, very modern with leather furniture, wooden floors, ash woodwork, spot lighting and a bright airy feel. It seats 45 inside and another 50 in the covered and heated patio.
