Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch.
Come and watch the Changing of the Guard which takes place in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace at 11.30 every day in summer, every other day in winter, and lasts for about 45 minutes.
Also Between August and September the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace are open to the public for 8 weeks. As part of the tour there is a special exhibition of Her Majesty’s evening dresses, coronation gown and her wedding dress. In this time the Queen makes an annual visit to Balmoral.

Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, is a castle and monument in central London. It is the oldest building used by the British Government.
The Tower has served as an armory, a treasury, a place of execution and torture and now home to the Crown jewels of United Kingdom.
Today the tower is cared for by Historic Royal Palaces and independent charity and receives no funding from the Government or the Crown.
There is an admission to get in to the Tower, and while in the Tower there is the chance to have an audio guide to explain all about the history and what it’s really like to live inside the Royal Fortress.
